There isn't a happier or more loving dog on the planet than a Golden Retriever.

After a long search for a Golden Retriever breeder, we found Jill Kelley. We told her we wanted a great show dog, and she promised us if we were patient she'd call us when she had a great dog for us. We waited and waited and thought she'd never call. We weren't patient, and one day at the NRHA futurity we adopted a couple wonderful Australian Shepherd pups.

Then we got "the" call we'd been waiting for from Jill. She had a litter with two spectacular puppies to choose from; a male and a female out of her Champion Jimy. With two rambunctious Aussies already at home we went to Jill's with the difficult task of choosing between these two great pups. When we left her kennel we had the male and the female and their un-adopted runt littermate, we affectionately named Sorry Charlie. Yes, that's 5 puppies in total — crazy!

As the puppies grew and grew and grew, we saw something very special in the female, we named Izzy. She had star quality from the beginning and so we hired the best dog handler in the country: Sherri Hurst from Houston, Texas. With great excitement, we went to Izzy's first show where she won a major. Sherri was thrilled, but cautioned us it doesn't usually happen this way. Sherri went on to win dog shows with Izzy across the U.S. and won her Championship in October, 2009. As happy as we were Izzy got the recognition she deserved, we were happier to have her back home once her Championship was completed. Izzy was treated like a queen by Sherri and we knew she was loved and very well cared for, our sincere thanks to a wonderful person and talented trainer Ms. Sherri Hurst.
